May 10 2008, Community Service Day

"Most people say that it is the intellect which makes a great scientist.
They are wrong: it is character" --Albert Einstein

We will be helping the Cass Corridor Neighborhood Development
Corporation (CCNDC) with landscaping projects. The CCNDC was established
in 1982 and serves to enhance the quality of community life for all
residents in the Cass Corridor.

The activities will involve clearing out flower beds, planting flowers,
trimming shrubs, rebuilding a flower bed retaining wall, hauling mulch &
wood chips in wheel barrels, shoveling and raking, picking up paper/trash
around the buildings and watering newly planted flowers.

Volunteers need to bring gloves, dress in yard work cloths, wear sun
screen as needed and expect to sweat!
