With slight pause in July, 2005, the Greater Detroit Chapter is back in full swing with its 3rd quarter chapter programs which are planned for variety of activities such as Harbor Report (August 2005), Student Chapter Joint meeting (Sept. 2005), and Lean Six Sigma Value Management Symposium (Oct. 2005) . |

The 2005 Lean Six Sigma Value Management Symposium preparations are under way. The speakers and workshop leaders are finalized. This year besides listening to the expert speakers on various interesting topics, you will have an opportunity to attend the workshops on Lean Concepts, Six Sigma and Value Management led by expert workshop leaders. Very soon we will be sending out the symposium flyers and e-mails.Please be on the look out and mark your calendar for October 21st, 2005. Tej Jhamb, Vice President-Elect attended 2005 IIE National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Greater Detroit Chapter sponsored IE students from University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, Wayne State University - Detroit and University of Michigan - Dearborn to attend 2005 IIE National Conference. The participation of students from IIE Student Chapters was overwhelming. The chapter is constantly looking for additional members with leadership skills and professional interests to serve on IIE Greater Detroit Chapter Board. If you are interested in serving on the board and getting actively involved in the chapter decision making, please e-mail your interests to me. In the 3rd quarter my personal focus will be on to:
