The Detroit Chapter of IIE annually offers the Distinguished Service Award to a worthy Detroit Chapter member. The competition is performed during the 4th Quarter of each calendar year, and the winner is announced and presented their award during Engineers week in February of the following year.
OBJECTIVE: The Distinguished Service award is intended to recognize those that have provided long term service to the Detroit Chapter and the Industrial Engineering profession.
ELIGIBILITY: A current chapter member is nominated by current Detroit Chapter Board Member. The Detroit Chapter Board of Directors will review nominees and select an annual winner during the 4th quarter of the calendar year. Chapter members can nominate an individual through a Detroit Chapter Board Member
CONSIDERATIONS: The Distinguished Award nominee will provide support to the Detroit Chapter over a period of several years. This may include holding officer positions, managing programs in the community to raise the awareness of Industrial Engineers, or working with national IE organizations.
